Lovely day

I have had a fab day today. Made lunch for some ladies, we ate it, had some lovely chocolate brownies. Then played tennis with scottish Elle, finished off a necklace of which i will post a picture and mowed the lawn. Topped off with dinner at Jon's. Lovely. Pretty perfect day. Was sunny too!

Rainy day

Its raining loads here at the moment. Took the opportunity to do a bit of a re-organise in my basement/workshop. Ive nicked Andys Jam cupboard for my glazes and stuff. I think i'm ready for a bit of potting tomorrow....

About Me

Name: Louise

I live in France and run a B and B with my boyfriend. Since i was little i have been creative and loved making things. I especially love beads. Ive got a studio in my basement where i can design and make all things pottery, bead, silver, glass bead, jewellery related. I love being able to access and use different media in what i make. The pottery kind of came first after a night course at college in the UK. I became hooked and couldnt wait to have my own studio one day. I am self taught in silver smithing (so much still to learn!), having had a little tuition here and there. I was for a long time interested in silver, especially rings (i had a book!) and then my boyfriends dad gave me his tool box and tools which he used to use. This really got me started especially as there was a little silver inside! I love making jewellery. I will continue to make jewellery and ceramics for some time to come.My main aim is to make things that are a bit different and at the same time to hand make as many of the elements involved in each piece.My website has a good selection of what i make in my basement. www.louiselewis.net
